Shooting on Westbound I-80 Closed All Lanes, Investigation Pending
An uninvolved third party was stopped on the right shoulder of I-80 at the same location of the incident, and was struck by at least shot.

PINOLE, CA: A shooting briefly shut down all lanes of westbound Interstate Highway 80 in Pinole Sunday night, according to the California Highway Patrol. CHP officials said around 9:30 p.m. an altercation took place on I-80 near Appian Way that shut down all lanes of traffic for about an hour.
During the altercation, CHP officials said gunfire was exchanged, resulting in at least one individual suffering a gunshot wound. According to the CHP, the suspect vehicle did not remain at the scene, and the victim vehicle drove to a local hospital where the gunshot wound victim was treated.
An uninvolved third party was stopped on the right shoulder of I-80 at the same location of the incident, and was struck by at least one gunshot, however according to CHP officials, no one from the vehicle sustained any injuries. There is currently no description of the suspect vehicle and no details are being released regarding the victim, according to the CHP.
