Sig-Alert Canceled on Eastbound I-80 After Early Morning Fatality
CHP officials say the victim may have been struck by a vehicle.

PINOLE, CA: All lanes on eastbound Interstate Highway 80 have been reopened as of 2:31 a.m. after a fatal incident early this morning. The California Highway Patrol issued the Sig-alert after reports of an incident involving a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle.
A CHP officer said the incident was under investigation and could not confirm how the victim was killed. The incident remains under investigation.
