Slew of Retirement Announcements to Change Pinole's Leadership

Pinole is already searching for a new development services director and city engineer after the retirement of Dean Allison on Sept. 25.

Pinole’s leadership is facing a major shakeup as the city looks to fill three top positions in response to a trio of retirement announcements. On the city’s website, City Manager Belinda Espinosa recently announced that she would be retiring at the end of the year after 15 years of service to Pinole. Besides that, the Pinole Fire Chief Rob Piper has also expressed his intention to retire in April or May of 2016, according to the website.

And Pinole is already searching for a new development services director and city engineer after the retirement of Dean Allison on Sept. 25. The city has decided to bring on an interim director through CSG Consulting, Inc., a firm that the city has worked with in the past.

It could take up to six months to hire a permanent development services director, city officials said. There was no time frame given on selecting replacements for the other two positions.
