Special Council Meeting on Utility Tax Ballot Measure
The Pinole City Council will hold a meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday to draft language on a tax renewal proposal.

Pinole City Council members are scheduled Monday to hold a special meeting to create the language for a ballot measure asking voters to renew the existing 8 percent utility users tax.
The council to hold the meeting after rejecting a version written by a consultant as too long and confusing. The council has agreed in principle to place the measure on the Nov. 6 ballot.
Monday's meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at Pinole City Hall, 2131 Pear St.
