A suspect in a shooting earlier this month at a Pinole bar was arrested Friday, Pinole police said today. The shooting was reported at about 3:40 a.m. on March 7, when officers spoke to a shooting victim who arrived at Kaiser Permanente Richmond Medical Center.
The victim, a 25-year-old resident of unincorporated San Pablo, told police he had been shot at Pete’s Place at 610 San Pablo Ave. at about 1:30 a.m., police said. His friends then drove him to the hospital, police said. Investigators determined that another 25-year-old man, identified as Antonio Francisco Farias, was a suspect in the shooting. Police obtained a search warrant for his residence outside of San Pablo. Pinole police and the Contra Costa County sheriff’s SWAT team served the warrant Friday and arrested Farias. He was booked into county jail in Martinez and is being held on $1 million bail.
