Thugs Attack 71-Year-Old Woman, Steal Purse

BREAKING: She was taken to the hospital after one suspect intentionally shoved her to the ground.

PINOLE , CA — A 71-year-old woman was shoved to the ground by two purse thieves and left lying injured in the middle of the street, according to Pinole Police. No arrests have been made.

The attack happened on Monday at 11:30 a.m. in the vicinity of Pinole Valley Road and Rafaela Street.

In a written report, police say, "According to a witness, the victim was approached from behind by three suspects who arrived in a gold or silver colored Toyota Sienna. Two of the suspects attacked the female and stole her purse. While fleeing the scene, a female suspect shoved the victim to the ground. The victim was transported to a local hospital for non-threatening injuries. All three suspects fled the scene in the Toyota Sienna northbound on Pinole Valley Road."

Police have released descriptions of the suspects:

  • Black female in her 20’s, medium build
  • Black male in his 20’s
  • Black male in his 20’s
