Harrison was charged with kidnapping, with bail set at $100,000, police said.

The charges stem from an incident that occurred on April 18, in which the suspects approached the 19-year-old victim near his Hercules home. One of the suspects allegedly showed the victim what he believed
to be a gun before driving him against his will to the vicinity of Ninth Street in Richmond, where they beat him with fists and a metal bar, according to police.

The victim told officers he knows the suspects and the motive for the kidnapping was believed to concern a perceived debt, police said. After the assault, the victim went to Kaiser Permanente Richmond Medical Center, where he was treated for injuries that were not considered life-threatening, police said.

Hercules police learned of the incident while the victim was at the hospital. The following day, on April 19, detectives executed search warrants at the suspects' homes, seized evidence and arrested the pair, before booking them into the Martinez Detention Facility, according to police.
