Van Carrying Costly Plumbing Equipment Stolen at Gunpoint

Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying two men who stole a van filled with costly commercial plumbing equipment at gunpoint in Hercules Thursday morning. At 7:50 a.m., a pair of men stole a 2004 Ford Econoline van that was parked with a victim inside it on Village Parkway near Devonwood, according to Hercules police.

One of the suspects reportedly approached the driver’s side of the van and held the victim at gunpoint, demanding that he exit the vehicle. The victim, who was picking up his brother before heading to a plumbing job, complied with the suspect, according to police.

The armed suspect and another man got into the van and fled on northbound Village Parkway toward Hercules Avenue, according to police. The white, unmarked van’s license plate number is 8N212334, police said. It was apparently filled with expensive plumbing materials.

Police described both suspects as black men in their 30s who stand at 6 foot 2 inches tall and weigh roughly 200 pounds. Both were apparently wearing dark clothing.
