Local Sustainability: Volunteer Now For County Commission
Are you concerned about Climate Change? Here's how you can make an impact at the local level.
The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors is seeking three volunteers for the county's sustainability commission.
The commission consists of 12 members and five alternates. There's one vacant at-large member seat currently available, as well as two alternate seats.
They're looking for an environmental justice advocate who lives in a "frontline" or disadvantaged community to fill the at-large seat. The alternate seats are reserved for residents of District 3, represented by Supervisor Diane Burgis, or District 5, represented by Supervisor Federal Glover.
