• California toddler is shot by adult cleaning a gun (latimes.com subscription) — A 2-year-old boy was accidentally shot in the leg inside a Pixley home Sunday while an adult was cleaning a gun, according to the Tulare County Sheriff's Office. Deputies responded around 11:30 a.m., provided aid until medics arrived, and the child was taken to a hospital as investigators continue gathering information.
