English Tutors Needed
Volunteer Opportunity! Come join us for a fun and informative workshop with The Diablo Valley Literacy Council!
You can change a life!
English need not be your first language-no teaching experience is required-we will teach you to be a tutor!
For some people who cannot effectively speak English simple tasks like reading product labels, following street signs, understanding instructions or talking to a child's teacher can be frustrating and even scary. This limits their roles as employees, as parents and as members of the community. Our students tell us that learning to speak English gives them confidence to become a fully immersed member of our society. You can be the person who helps another to improve his/her life.
