Student Suspended For Inflammatory Comments Toward Latinos: PD

Police said an investigation of the College Park High School student's comments on social media led to him being questioned and suspended.

PLEASANT HILL, CA — The Pleasant Hill Police Department said Thursday that following an investigation into "inflammatory comments directed at the Latino community" posted to a College Park High School student's personal social media page, the student was suspended from school.

"The comments were racially-motivated, but no specific threats were made against individual students nor did they describe planned acts of violence on campus," Pleasant Hill police said in a news release.

"The investigation also determined the student has no means to further the threat," police said.
