Alameda County Launches Health Care Worker Database: Coronavirus

County officials are looking for nurses, IT workers, housekeepers and more in anticipation of a COVID-19 patient surge.

ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA — Alameda County is looking for workers in the health care sector and beyond in anticipation of needing additional workers to tackle a surge in patients infected with the new coronavirus.

The county is looking for workers and volunteers who are doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, EMTs medical assistants, ER techs and more, according to a callout posted by the City of Dublin Wednesday. Non-health care workers sought include people in housekeeping, security, maintenance and translation.

The county is building a database and asks anyone who's interested to fill out a form about their background, availability and housing needs.
