Amador Valley Students To Host Cybersecurity Workshops
Computer science students will host a workshop at the Pleasanton Senior Center Wednesday on how to use technology safely.
PLEASANTON, CA — Kevin Kiyoi, a computer science teacher at Amador Valley High School who was recently named 2023 Alameda County Teacher of the Year and PUSD’s 2023 Teacher of the Year, is organizing a free cybersecurity class at the Pleasanton Senior Center.
Kiyoi’s students will teach seniors about different ways to stay safe online. The course will cover different internet scams, phishing, Wifi security, password strength, and artificial intelligence. Instructors will also show how to tighten cell phone settings for better security.
The course will be held Wednesday, Oct. 25 from 1-1:45 pm at the Pleasanton Senior Center at 5353 Sunol Boulevard. Call 925-931-5365 for more information.
