PLEASANTON, CA — Pleasanton Unified School District held a groundbreaking ceremony Monday for a new $9.7 million Transitional Kindergarten classroom project at Walnut Grove Elementary School.
The new project is funded by Bond Measure I and is expected to be completed in later 2027. It will feature two new TK classrooms with a workroom and restrooms; a new outdoor play yard with shade structures, and a new parking lot along Black Avenue.
“This project reflects what we value as a school community – creating a strong,
supportive start for our youngest learners. These new spaces will provide an
environment designed specifically for how young children learn best, both inside
and outside the classroom,” Walnut Grove Principal Georgianna Kruse-Silva.
