Danville Bakery & Patisserie Opening Pleasanton Location (patch.com) — Pleasanton food lovers can look forward to award-winning French croissants and pastries when Maison Benoit opens on Main Street in early 2027, taking over part of a former Bank of America branch. The acclaimed Danville bakery is expanding with a larger kitchen, outdoor patio, and on-site production lab, promising breads, viennoiseries, classic French savory dishes, and a full coffee and tea menu made locally for Pleasanton customers.
2. Pleasanton Teen Suspected In 25 Business Burglaries Arrested (patch.com) — Pleasanton police say a 19-year-old local resident has been arrested in connection with at least 25 business burglaries that hit the city on Sept. 10, part of a wider regional spree. Investigators found evidence at his Pleasanton home and car, and are still searching for three additional suspects; anyone with information is urged to contact Pleasanton or San Ramon police.
3. Pleasanton Sewer Bills Would Rise $29 Every Two Months Under Rates Headed to November Vote City of Pleasanton (opgov.news) — Pleasanton households could see their typical sewer bill jump from about $93 to $123 every two months starting Jan. 1, 2027, if new rates win City Council approval Nov. 17. The proposal also raises business and connection fees, while low-income residents on PG&E's CARE program can apply for a 30% discount on city water and sewer charges.
4. Cute Robots Begin Survey of Pleasanton Sidewalks (independentnews.com) — Pleasanton sidewalks are getting a high-tech checkup as 11 "Daxbot" robots slowly scan 360 miles of walkways to map cracks, slopes, and accessibility issues across town. City staff say this first comprehensive survey will guide repair priorities and help Pleasanton compete for grant funding, with work expected to continue into early 2027.
5. PUSD Unveils $25.3 Million in Early-Learning Upgrades (independentnews.com) — Pleasanton families with young children will see big changes as PUSD unveils $25.3 million in new TK and kindergarten classrooms, playgrounds, and site upgrades at Donlon and Fairlands elementary schools. Funded by Measures I and I1, the projects expand early-learning capacity and are part of a broader wave of campus improvements across the district.
