AVHS Comp Civics Dress Rehearsal
Free and open to the community! Final rehearsal of the Comp Civics State Champions Amador Valley before Nationals in Washington DC!

The Pleasanton community is cordially invited to the Amador Valley High School “We the People” Competition Civics team’s dress rehearsal for the National Finals on Monday, April 20th, 6:30 pm, at the Amador Theater. Free and open to the public.
Each of the six units of students will run through their testimony for one of the questions for the National tournament, and then engage in Q&A with an expert panel. Come see us be quizzed on everything you always wanted to know about the Constitution but were afraid to be asked!
The team would like to sincerely thank the Pleasanton community for all the warm wishes and generous financial support in our quest to bring home the National title. We hope to see you there at our final, local appearance!
“We the People” is a competitive civics experience sponsored by the Center for Civic Education, a division of the United States Department of Education. Students’ knowledge of the Constitution, the founding of our country, and the evolution of American government is tested in simulated congressional hearings that foster critical thinking and creativity. More detailed information on the program can be found at www.civiced.org.
