Biology of Belief

You are not genetically predetermined. So where is the command center? For years we thought it was the nucleus of the cell, which is where the genes are (DNA and RNA). Now we know it is the membrane of each cell that monitors the environment. Therefore you are environmentally determined. Recall from high school biology when you saw the one celled amoeba floating around on the microscope slide, ie) the amoeba would move towards good stimuli (food), and away from bad stimuli (heat). The old Newtonian reductionist view of the world suggests the atom is matter. The new quantum theory suggests the atom is mainly space and energy. This is a learning curve for many of you, are you ready? Between each cell and the environment is your BELIEF. Do you believe the world is a friendly place? Or do you believe the world is hostile?
