He is on the AVHS Varsity Wresting team and loves helping coach the Harvest Park Middle School Wrestling team. Other interests include Reading, Sports Medicine, playing video games and hanging out with his friends. He loves volunteering with Boys Team Charity, a group where boys volunteer with many organizations with their parents. After high school, he plans to attend college and is interested in Sports Medicine or possibly studying the law.

For Blake’s Eagle Scout project, because of his interest in reading, he collected around 360 children’s and teen books for Stanford Urgent Care as well as $495 to purchase additional books to benefit the Stanford/Valley Care Charitable Foundation. Anita Petagara, Clinical Manager of VC Urgent Care said, "Having books available to our pediatric patients provides a level of comfort during what can be a scary experience. The team looks forward to being able to provide these books to children in our care. It is youth like Blake that help to make our community a better place, and we are so happy to have met him."

An Eagle project requires the scout to completely plan, direct and supervise others, bringing the project to completion.

To earn the rank of Eagle Scout, a Scout must be active in their troop, demonstrate leadership, earn 21 merit badges including the areas of citizenship, camping, communications, cooking and lifesaving or emergency preparedness as well as demonstrate that they live by the principles of the Scout Oath and the Scout Law. They must also plan, develop and provide leadership in a service project benefiting a religious institution, school or community group.

Anyone interested in joining any level of Scouting can contact the Twin Valley District Executive, Matt Lindberg, matt.lindberg@scouting.org.
