Miss Pleasanton Deniz Askin Vying for Miss California USA 2013, Sponsored by Prim

Our own Miss Pleasanton, Deniz Askin, has entered the Miss California USA 2013 pageant for the first time. With a B.A. in Psychology from University of California, Davis, Miss Askin studied summer classes at Foundation for International Education in London as well as Jesus College, University of Oxford.

An equestrian, tennis player, and dancer. Miss Askin has volunteered with the San Francisco Film Festival, Tiburon Film Festival, Run for Peace Festival, the Annual Macy’s Passport Fashion Show, Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital, and Stanford University Medical Center auxiliary.  

Now Prim, one of Main Street’s newer clothing and antiques stores, is sponsoring Miss Askin’s entry in the pageant. Prim will host an event “Meet Miss Pleasanton” Saturday, November 24, 4-7 p.m. Five percent of the evening’s sales will help fund Miss Askin’s sponsorship.

Offering wine, desserts, and appetizers, Prim will hold a raffle for supporters to win prizes from local businesses as well as Prim merchandise. A tip jar will also be provided for more support. Come meet one of Pleasanton’s newest representatives.
