World Series 2012 Champions - San Francisco Giants, A True Team of Greatness!

It turns out the “magic” from ATT Park carried with the team to Detroit.

They swept the Detroit Tigers in Game 4.

Even if it had to spill over into a 10^th inning, almost into the next day.

There were so many moments of grandeur,amazement, awe.

This World Series will be remembered by “everything that went RIGHT for the Giants”.

All post season everyone has been touting the greatness of this 2012 team and how their belief in themselves and each other is the driving force behind them.  They proved this to be true.

This team showed the world how faith combined with unrelenting focus can achieve the unexpected.

When down to their final NLCS elimination game, they pulled together with the force of a category 6 Hurricane removing all obstacles in its path.

Pablo Sandoval’s regular season struggles had been plagued with injuries, criticism and weak at bats. Yet he rose like the phoenix in post-season to emerge as the World Series MVP.

And how appropriate, that Marco Scutaro (who took the position away from Ryan Theriot) ended up driving him in, breaking the tied score, to win the entire series.

Each Giant played his role with perseverance and dedication whenever he was called upon. Even when asked not to play for a while.

The Giants as an organization are phenomenal.  Brian Sabean’s approach to building and rebuilding the teams ever changing components is beyond visionary.

The team led by a manager like Bruce Bochy that instinctively knows how to support, motivate and redirect his players at every point of the game, in every position, is once in a lifetime greatness. 

When asked what it felt like to be World Series Champions again, Bruce Bochy responded, "To be world champions in two out of the last three years, it's amazing. …. I couldn't be prouder of a group of guys that were not going to be denied…they set aside their own agenda and asked what's best for the club.”

The San Francisco Giants earned their way to their new title:

The 2012 World Series Champions because of who they showed the world they are.

Mike Krukow, sports announcer analyst for the Giants summed it up best, “The 2012 San Francisco Giants, are greater men, than they are ball players and they are GREAT ball players !!!”
