Two Pleasanton Vegetation Fires Deemed Suspicious
Watch the eerie glow of the blaze as it consumes the dry hillside brush.

PLEASANTON, CA: Two vegetation fires reported in the same area within hours of each other are being called suspicious, Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Battalion Chief Jack Neiman-Kimel said.
The first fire, which was reported at 9:15 p.m. in the 9000 block of Olson Court, consumed a half-acre of dry brush, according to fire officials. The second fire was reported in the same area just after 3 a.m., Neiman-Kimel said.
Neiman-Kimel says Olson Ct. is the driveway to the water tank and to a hiking trail.

"On arrival approximately a quarter acre of very dry grass was on fire," Neiman-Kimel said. "The crews attacked the fire with hose lines from each flank. When the fire was out all crews mopped up the area and scratched a line down to mineral soil all the way around the fire."
