City of Pleasanton Wants Residents to Take Arts Survey

Those who take the online survey could win tickets to a show at the Firehouse Arts Center.

From City of Pleasanton:

The Community Services Department of the City of Pleasanton is embarking on a Cultural Plan Update.  The current Cultural Plan was completed in 1998 and highlighted six goals for the future of civic arts, the most notable of which was the development of the elegant Firehouse Arts Center in downtown Pleasanton.

Public input is necessary to update this important plan. Residents should consider what they would like to see for the future of the arts in Pleasanton. There are several ways for the public to participate. To complete an online survey, please visit http://www.ci.pleasanton.ca.us/services/recreation/CulturalPlanUpdateOverview.html and click on the survey link. By completing the short survey, participants may win a pair of tickets to an upcoming show at the Firehouse Arts Center.

The update process also includes two upcoming community workshops.  The first workshop is scheduled on Monday, April 22, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Building at 301 Main Street and will provide a general overview of the update, with multiple opportunities for feedback from the community.

A second workshop is slated for Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at 7:00 p.m.  at the Firehouse Arts Center, located at 4444 Railroad Avenue in downtown Pleasanton. It will focus exclusively on public art and will feature an overview of the public art process in Pleasanton and seek public input on that topic.
