"Middle School Confidential" - Real Friends vs. the Other Kind And Parenting for the 21st Century - Teaching Kids to be Good People
The City of Pleasanton opens the 2015 Community Education Series on Wednesday, January 2,1, 2015 with two special presentations by award-winning author and parenting expert/family coach Annie Fox.
“Middle School Confidential”: Real Friends vs. the Other Kind” is the title of the first presentation, scheduled from 4:00 to 5:00pm in the large meeting room of the Pleasanton Library. Designed for middle school students, Ms. Fox, the author of the popular “Middle School Confidential” book series, will provide participants with tools to figure out if someone is a real friend, everyday ways to de-stress, and other helpful recourses. Later that same day, from 7:00 to 8:30pm, Annie Fox will present “Parenting for the 21st Century: Teaching Kids to be Good People”, also in the large meeting room of the Pleasanton Library. This presentation, targeting parents, will include cyber safety tips on how to raise a responsible digital citizen, how to teach children to do good, versus being good and ways to improve parent and child relationships.
