Abigail Bee Richardson receives coveted Juanita Haugen Scholarship

The Community of Character Collaborative announces Scholarship for Village High School Senior, Abigail Bee Richardson
The Juanita Haugen Scholarship was created to honor the memory of Juanita Haugen, founder of the coalition, who died in 2007 due to cancer. Mrs. Haugen was a former president not only of the local school board, but also of the California School Boards Association.
Abigail Bee Richardson has been a true community leader on the Village High School campus. When she is not contributing to classroom discussions, Bee is buzzing around the campus hosting Leadership fundraisers and putting together videos for our school assemblies.
Bee has single-handedly made our morning announcements a more engaging means of communication. Her positive attitude and generous, welcoming spirit has won her the respect of staff and students. She represents well the character traits of the Community of Character, which are: compassion, honesty, respect, responsibility, integrity, and self-discipline.
