Coroner IDs Local Man Suspected Of Killing Fellow Gamer: Report
Investigators believe he drove to Texas, killed a man, 18, after a possible video game dispute, then drove straight back to Pleasanton.

PLEASANTON, CA — The Alameda County Coroner has identified the 23-year-old Pleasanton man suspected of taking his own life after killing a Texas man, 18, after a possible video game dispute.
Matthew Thane of Flower Mound, Texas was found fatally shot at his home around 6 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Flower Mound Police Department. Police believe he was lured outside by a small fire set near his home, Bay Area News Group reported.
Alexander F. Baro of Pleasanton fatally shot himself as police were trying to lure him out of his home, NBCDFW reported.

A GoFundMe online fundraiser for Thane's family has already raised $26,000 as of Friday.
"Matthew never failed to put a smile on someone's face and brighten their day," GoFundMe organizers wrote. "He was such an unique character, one of a kind."
