The $50,000 County of Alameda Handicap Preview

Every so often it seems there is little or no chance a horse can lose a stakes race. Such is the case Saturday at the Alameda County Fair as Jerry Hollendorfer’s Summer Hit will take on six others in the $50,000 County of Alameda Handicap.

The race is the 9th on the 11-race Saturday program and is scheduled for a 5:26 p.m. post time.
Summer Hit, who will be ridden by Russell Baze to complete the Hall of Fame connections, has won three of five races this year, including his last start, the Grade III All-American at Golden Gate Fields in late May.

In the All American he beat three of the others horse entered Saturday as Siberian Laughter was fourth, Control Seeker fifth and Positive Response sixth.
