Dancers To Ring In Lunar New Year In Pleasanton

PLEASANTON, CA — Celebrate the Lunar New Year and Year of the Rat on Jan. 25 and 26 at Pleasanton's Stoneridge Shopping Center, where activities will begin in the Grand Court at 1 p.m.

Dancers will perform traditional Chinese dances, such as a lion dance, waist drum dancing, a ribbon dance, Tibet-style dancing, Chinese Qi-Pao and more on Jan. 25. LionDanceME will lead the lion dance and EastBay WeDance Team will lead other dances from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The first 138 guests who visit Simon Guest Services will receive treats and information about promotions and activities that retailers will offer.

On Jan. 26 shoppers may receive tea before and after a free Tai Chi class, led by Margaret Zhao of Life Renewing Center.
