Danville Hoots Baseball Team Advance in 'Connie Mack World Series'
The Hoots players are from all over Tri-Valley.

The Danville Hoots took one more step in their quest for a Connie Mack World Series title by beating the South Troy Dodgers from Troy, New York today 2-0. The Hoots drew first blood in the bottom of the first after a Steven Nice hit. Nick Moroney got on on a fielder’s choice and ultimately scored on a Tim Susnara RBI single. That lead held until the bottom of the sixth when co-player of the game and San Ramon Valley High School product Ryan Weisenberg got his second hit of the game, scoring Ryan Anderson, who had walked, with an insurance run. Noah Burnham pitched a 1-2-3 7th to close out the victory and gain the save.
The pitching and defense were stellar for the Hoots. Co-player of the game, Jacob Knight threw 3+ scoreless innings in the start, and Kyle Graham and Noah Bremer combined for 4+ scoreless innings in relief to preserve the shutout.
The Hoots championship quest continues tomorrow evening at Rickett’s Stadium in Farmington, New Mexico with a semifinal matchup against a yet to be determined opponent. All games are radio broadcast live free on the internet at verticalradio.org.
