Dean Wallace Running To Represent Pleasanton District 1
Wallace, who manages constituent services for Assemblymember Buffy Wicks, is running for Pleasanton City Council.

DUBLIN, CA — Dean Wallace, a community relations specialist who currently serves as district director for Assemblymember Buffy Wicks, announced his candidacy to represent Pleasanton’s District 1.
Wallace is a native of Dublin, Ireland who has lived in the Tri-Valley for 22 years. He has worked on behalf of elected officials to mobilize community members and stakeholders, and currently specializes in constituent services for Wicks’ office.
“Public service and responsive government is my life’s great passion, and I’m incredibly
excited about this opportunity to serve the people of Pleasanton,” Wallace said in a campaign statement.

He listed supporting working families, ensuring funding for community services and parks, working with the school district, and emphasizing smart growth, sustainability, and strong public safety for residents and businesses as his top priorities.
“I’m running to bring a forward-looking perspective to the City Council. As someone who graduated from high school in the Tri-Valley, then returned after college to live close to family, I have experienced firsthand the challenges facing our young families and young professionals. That informs my deeply held belief that our community values must include supporting our high school graduates of tomorrow – by envisioning a future where they can continue to thrive right here in Pleasanton.”

Wallace has been endorsed by Congressman Eric Swalwell, whom he campaigned for around Pleasanton. “I know Dean’s ready to roll up his sleeves and work hard on behalf of the residents of Pleasanton, because I’ve already seen him do it. I’m proud to support him in his campaign for Pleasanton City Council.”
