Deputy Fire Chief Retiring Next Week
He's served as a firefighters for more than 30 years.

Deputy Fire Chief Joseph Rodondi will be retiring from the Livermore Pleasanton Fire Department on Thursday, July 23.
He began his fire service career over 30 years ago with the San Bruno Fire Department before joining the LPFD in 1997 as a Firefighter-Paramedic. Joseph worked his way through the ranks of Engineer, Captain and Battalion Chief before achieving the position of Deputy Fire Chief in 2010.
While at the LPFD, Joseph was integral to several projects including the creation of the Captains Academy, project manager of the design and acquisition of our newest Fire Engines, and oversight of the design, contractor selection and start of construction on the replacement of Fire Station 9.

Joseph was a member of the Alameda County Incident Management Team, which included various high profile assignments including a two-week deployment to Hurricane Sandy.
In addition to his service at the LPFD, Joseph and his wife, Debra, raised three children in Pleasanton and were very involved in Pleasanton Schools, marching band, the Hometown Holiday Parade and The Boy Scouts of America. Their children, Ashley, Veronica and Dante attend college in Washington, Montana and North Dakota. Joseph and Debra will be retiring to Montana.
