Parents are now taking the time to become informed with careful evaluation of the risks and benefits of vaccinations for their children. In fact, statistics reveal that mothers with college educations and higher incomes are the ones making the decision NOT to vaccinate compared to parents with less education. The old paradigm is long gone when parents just did what their MD's and Pediatricians told them. In the not so distant past, people thought those who refused vaccines were ignorant, but when you examine the facts, delaying and/or opting out of some vaccines can indeed be a safer alternative to maintaining good health. For sure you must split up the MMR (measles, mumps and rubella). The combination of all three is questionable to some researchers that are convinced that this cocktail may cause autism if the genetic precursors are there. Each person is different, and it is these individual biological and environmental exposure differences that make a mass-vaccination policy so hazardous. Take a stand to protect your kids. Don’t be bullied to make decisions that are not right for you. Trust your intuition and be careful. Do not allow your kids to receive multiple vaccines at one time.
