Today, Doug Miller is leading the fight against the proposed half-cent sales tax in Pleasanton, called Measure PP. He can be seen each Saturday at Pleasanton’s Farmers Market holding signs against the sales tax.
The No on PP Committee says “the City failed us all by not providing transparent and fact-based leadership about our city's finances. Pleasanton residents have lost trust in City leadership because they have not been truthful--about water rate hikes previously and now a 1/2 cent sales tax increase. If Measure PP passes, we will be paying 10.75% in sales tax, the highest in the State.”

The current city council majority says that Pleasanton has a critical budget deficit, water problems, and increasing police response times, and that they have the experience to solve these issues, it seems these problems have occurred on their watch.
It’s time for a change in our city’s leadership.
