Downtown Pleasanton Rings In Holiday Season With Two Special Events

This year's festivities include free photos with Santa Claus at the Museum on Main.

Downtown Pleasanton comes alive with the sights, sounds and tastes of the holiday season on November 21st and 22nd. Two special events will draw more than a thousand people to Main Street for one fun-filled weekend.

The third annual Holiday Spirit Stroll on Saturday, November 21 from 5 - 8 p.m. brings together 26 downtown merchants paired with local breweries, wineries and bars for a festive night sampling beer, wine and cocktails. Participants are encouraged to dress up to participate in the Ugly Holiday Sweater contest for a chance to win a downtown gift card.

Tickets are available for $40 online at PleasantonDowntown.net as well as at Redcoats Pub – 336 St. Mary Street and Studio Seven Arts – 400 Main Street. Tickets can be redeemed on Saturday, November 21 from 4:30-7 p.m.at the starting location, Firehouse Arts Center located at 4444 Railroad Avenue. If the event is not sold out, tickets will be available for $45 cash or check only.

Then on Sunday, November 22 from 4-7 p.m. downtown shops and restaurants usher in the holidays with festive decorations, twinkling lights, banners, beautiful window displays and holiday treats. 18 participating businesses will have special offers for customers during the event.

This year’s festivities include free photos with Santa Claus at the Museum on Main located at 603 Main Street along with a special visit from Disney’s Frozen characters Elsa and Anna and other favorite characters fromStorybook Smiles. There will be carolers, bell ringers, flutes – all singing and playing your favorite holiday tunes. Magical Holiday Evening is sponsored by New Leaf Community Market in Pleasanton, Castlewood Country Club, and Pleasanton Weekly.
