Driver Killed In I-680 Rollover Crash Near Pleasanton
Three drivers struck an overturned vehicle on I-680 early Saturday morning, leaving one person dead, CHP officials said.
PLEASANTON, CA — A driver died early Saturday morning after losing control of a vehicle on I-680 in Sunol, officials said.
The driver of a 2000 Honda collided with an embankment and flipped over just south of Andrade Road just before 1 a.m., blocking northbound lanes of the freeway. Shortly after, the overturned Honda was struck by three other vehicles, Tyler Hahn, a California Highway Patrol officer told Patch.
The Honda driver, who was not named, sustained fatal injuries, Hahn said.

The collision resulted in the closure all northbound lanes near Andrade Road for 35 minutes before one lane reopened. The roadway fully reopened at 1:53 a.m., Hahn said.
