Driver Killed In Sunol Solo Tree Crash: CHP
A driver was killed after crashing into a tree on Pleasanton Sunol Road Saturday night.
SUNOL, CA — A driver was killed in a solo tree crash on Pleasanton Sunol Road near SR-84, according to the California Highway Patrol.
At around 9:20 p.m. Saturday, Dublin CHP received a report of a solo vehicle collision on Pleasanton Sunol Road, north of State Route 84, CHP Officer Robert Purl told Patch in an email. Upon arrival, the driver was pronounced dead.
The driver was not wearing a seatbelt, Purl said.

No witnesses were located for the collision. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
The night before at around the same time, a solo passenger was also killed crashing into a tree on Camino Tassajara in Danville.
