Driver Sought In Pleasanton Crash That Injured Pedestrian

Do you know this man? Police said he gave false information to the victim after hitting her.

PLEASANTON, CA — Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man who allegedly hit a Pleasanton pedestrian in December. Police said the man stopped following the crash, but gave false information to the woman after hitting her as she was crossing in the crosswalk on Tom Burnett Lane near Johnson Drive.

Video of the Dec. 21 collision shows the driver of the dark-colored pickup failing to yield to the pedestrian who was in the middle of the marked crosswalk. The pickup knocked the woman to the ground.

“After leaving the collision site, the pickup driver entered a nearby security-controlled business by following an employee inside,” police said in a statement. “The driver did not appear to have legitimate business at the establishment, is not an employee of the business, nor does the business recognize him.”
