East Bay Congressman, Local Students to Deliver Valentine's Day Cards to Vets in Livermore

The cards were created by local students.

U.S. Representative Eric Swalwell (CA-15) is partnering with students at Junction Avenue School in Livermore to deliver Valentine’s Day cards to veterans at the Livermore VA Community Living Center on Sunday, February 15. The Valentine’s Day cards were created by the students. The Livermore VA Community Living Center provides care for veterans including nursing home care, short-stay post-hospital care, and hospice care.

“Our veterans sacrificed for the freedoms we enjoy today,” said Swalwell. “Valentines for Vets is an opportunity to show our vets we are a nation grateful for their service. The students’ homemade cards will hopefully brighten their day and make sure they know their bravery will not be forgotten.”
