What can you do with cardboard and yarn? Or seaweed and other found objects? If you are Gail Ruvalcaba, you can make award winning baskets, pottery and sculpture. Join Gail at the Arts Encounter, this Saturday, September 8, adjacent to the Farmer’s Market. You can see her work, and learn how to do Kumihimo, a traditional Japanese method of braiding bracelets that Gail also uses in her baskets. All materials are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own recycled yard and upcycle it into a work of art. Artists of all ages are welcome. It’s free, it’s fun, and it’s art!
