Master Printmakers Show in Pleasanton

Meet three incredible artists and enjoy their works — the textural characteristics of David Smith-Harrison, the natural prints of Stephen McMillian, and the woodblock prints of Tom Taneyhill   Private Wine Reception -- Friday, June 8 from 6pm to 9pm Open House -- Saturday, June 9 from 10am to 2pm

The artists works are entirely distinctive due to unique etching processes, such as the process used by Stephen McMillian of aquatint, that makes use of copper plates that are covered in rosin dust and heated, to create acid resistant dots where next the artistic design is laid out, bathed in acid, and lastly the surface transferred to paper to create multi-color prints.
