Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6298 and American Legion Post 237 will conduct a Memorial Day service from 11am-noon. This year's theme is "Expressing our Gratitude". The keynote speaker is Command Sergeant Major Robert Gallagher (US Army).
Several patriotic speeches and songs are planned for the ceremony, including a welcoming speech by Pleasanton Mayor Jennifer Hosterman. The Pleasanton Community Band will perform. The Air Force ROTC Honor Guard (Berkeley) will conduct the "21-gun salute".
Due to recent construction in the cemetery, parking will be restricted to those with handicap plates or placards. Off site parking and shuttle buses will be available at the Senior Center located at 5353 Sunol Blvd. Buses start running at 10AM.
A free lunch of sandwiches and chips will be provided immediately following the ceremony at the Veterans Hall at 301 Main Street (12:15-1:15 pm)
