The Pleasanton Planning Commission usually meets the second and fourth Wednesday of the month in the City Council Chambers (200 Old Bernal Avenue).

The Planning Commission advises the Council on land use matters including zoning issues, use permits, variances and site and architectural plans. The Commission reviews and makes recommendations regarding development plans submitted by the City's Planning Department, and is also responsible for annual General Plan and specific plan reviews.
