PLEASANTON, CA — The Pleasanton Unified School District has announced it will fund additional Wheels bus routes for the start of the 2019-20 school year for Amador Valley High School students. The district also announced that extra bike racks have been installed on campus for students.

The announcements come as work continues on the school's new eco-friendly solar parking structure located on Santa Rita Road. The lot will be closed when school begins Aug. 12, which impacts student transit.

Work on the structure is slated to be complete in October, so in the meantime Wheels will add earlier and later buses to its 605 and 611 routes during regular school days. The earliest bus will arrive at campus at 6:40 a.m., and the later bus will depart the school at 4:15 p.m.
