Father's Day 2016: Amazing California Dads

California is full of some pretty fantastic dads! In honor of Father's Day, Patch asked our readers to tell us about what makes their dad so special.

Jennifer Allen: "I think my dad Jerry is the best dad ever! He's always there when I need him and he has great advice to give. So many fond memories growing up with my dad. I'm truly blessed to have a father like him."

Jen Dodd: "My father, an amazing engineer, always made sure to shared is passion with me and my two brothers. I could not ask for a more amazing dad and example."

Ruby and Jade Lillywhite: "Our Dad is simply the best. We recently moved here from Australia for my Dad's work. He took a great risk leaving all things familiar to give us an opportunity to go to school here and to learn all things about the United States. We recently visited Kennedy Space Centre with him over spring break. We want to grow up and be an engineer just like our daddy."

Michael Cipolla: "My dad's name is Steve Cipolla. This man is the hardest working, nicest and kind hearted man that I know. The man overcame obstacles dealing with the economy and going from job to job but still kept his head up and pushed through it and found himself a stable job. This family man is the definition of what being a man is about. I couldn't me more proud to call him my dad. He supports me and my decision to go into law enforcement and I will make him proud. This man deserves to be recognized. Steve is a not only a role model but a musician, athlete and a gift from God. I appreciate the opportunity to give this man the positive exposure he deserves."

Timothy Monaghan of Beaumont: "As a single father, I love my kids more than life itself and get them weekly."
