Filing Period Extended For Open Council Seat In Pleasanton
Interested residents must file nomination papers for the General Municipal Election by the new deadline, August 15.

From the City of Pleasanton: The filing period for non-incumbents for the office of Councilmember in the City of Pleasanton has been extended, the City Clerk announced today. Interested residents must file nomination papers for the General Municipal Election by the new deadline, August 15, 2018, during normal business hours, 8 a.m-5 p.m.
The filing period for the office of Councilmember is being extended beyond the initial Aug. 10, 2018, deadline because incumbent Arne Olson is not seeking re-election and did not file nomination papers. The filing extension does not apply to the office of Mayor.
Any Pleasanton resident age 18 or older who is registered to vote, eligible to take the oath of office, and unless otherwise specifically provided, qualified to vote for the office, can file nomination papers. To schedule an appointment or get more information contact the City Clerk’s Office at 925-931-5027.
