Fire, Smoke Damages Harvest Park Middle School Library
The blaze broke out late Tuesday night.

PLEASANTON, CA — A fire at Harvest Park Middle School damaged the school’s library Tuesday night, fire officials said. The blaze was reported at 10:36 p.m.
After getting through locked gates and using more than 250' of fire hoses, Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department crews found the fire in the center of the school in the library building. It took firefighters about 25 minutes to extinguish the flames.
"The library sustained major damage throughout much of the attic and the flames breached the roof over a portion of the building," Deputy Chief Joe Testa said in a statement. "Smoke and water also damaged many of the building’s contents."
