Did you know that during the 2012-2013 FLU season, the FLU vaccine's effectiveness was found to be just 56 percent across all age groups reviewed by the CDC? In essence, this is the statistical equivalent to a coin toss. In seniors, aged 65 and over, the U.S. FLU vaccines were only 9 percent effective. Remember the days when you just got the FLU? It wasn't that bad in my opinion. Getting the FLU gives you precise immunity, and research shows that getting the common cold or FLU each year builds your immune response to the environmental stressors that may be contributory to cancers. Think twice this year because it's a coin toss after all, right?
