Handmade Magnetic Brooches, Eyeglass Holders and Earrings by Laura Wilson Gallery

I've been making magnetic earrings and non-pierced earrings since the 1980's. At one point a customer at an art show asked if I could make brooches.

I thought about it for a while and these are some of my creations. I like working in aluminum, because of the brilliant colors and the minimal weight.

Two strong neodymium magnets serve as a magnetic clasp to hold in on a jacket, blouse or scarf without damaging the fabric. One magnet is attached to the piece; the other goes inside your clothing. It is very light and easy to put on and take off. It's great for scarves because it doesn't put any holes in them, so you can wear it on your favorite scarf without damage. Each piece is one of a kind. Feel free to custom order something similar in any color of the rainbow and then some. I have them all.
