The Tri-Valley has several observances planned.

Hanukkah, also known as the Festival of Lights, begins at sundown and goes until Dec. 24. The Jewish holiday commemorates the story of the Maccabean Revolt against Syrian rulers in present day Israel 2,300 years ago.

  • Stoneridge Mall, Pleasanton - games & trivia, face painting, a balloonist, crafts, live music, and the Menorah lighting, Tuesday
  • Persian Themed Community Shabbat Dinner, Pleasanton - A complete Persian shabbat with food and songs of the longest lasting Jewish community in the world, Friday. RSVP
