A good time was had by all at New Leaf's Purveyors' Fair on Saturday, September 28. New Leaf organized the festive event to thank the community for the warm welcome they have received since opening in May, and to introduce some of the great producers of products that New Leaf carries.
Saturday was a glorious sunny day, and hundreds of people turned to enjoy the event which featured:
-music by the Max Cruise Band
-samples of about 40 food and beverage purveyors
-face painting and a big bounce house
-barbequed lunch specials and draft beer
New Leaf opened its doors at 3550 Bernal Ave in Pleasanton on May 15 and business has been increasing each month as area residents discover the unique, wholesome food and nutrition and body care products carried within. Customers are attracted to the store’s large selection of fresh seasonal produce, natural and organic meats, and sustainable seafood. Also popular are features patterned after those in other New Leaf stores: the deli, fresh salad bar, antipasti bar, hot bar, juice bar, sushi, gourmet cheeses, and local wines.
New Leaf customer Canna Yamamoto is enthusiastic to have New Leaf in the neighborhood: “I am so happy New Leaf came to Pleasanton. I am here at least three times a week. Yay for local and organic!”
